Tarangire

Tarangire is Tanzania's elephant capital. During the dry season, the Tarangire River draws enormous herds from across the region, creating one of the most impressive elephant gatherings in Africa. The park's ancient baobab trees, some over a thousand years old, give the landscape a timeless, almost mythical quality. It's a photographer's paradise and a welcome alternative to the busier parks.
